Uccello Elite Road 4550 with Sapim CX-Ray spokes is the newest iteration of the Uccello Elite Series wheels. Light, Aerodynamic and Fast it takes the best features of the previous generation to make the ultimate modern road wheel set. There’s simply nothing more versatile than the Elite Road 4550.

As the most versatile carbon wheel set in the line, the Elite Road 4550 is the go-to for just about any terrain or surface conditions. From the Victorian  High Country, or Centennial Park to the Coffee Shop Sprint, the Elite Road has proven time and time again that there are no limits on its capabilities.

The Extralite hub set is hand made in Italy to the finest tolerances. Here at Uccello Cycles we have settled on the corrosion resistant Hyper Ceramic bearing option as standard equipment. The Silicon Nitride bearings are housed in super hardened 440c Stainless Steel races. These bearings are smooth, fast rolling  and very wear resistant. Perfect for a long season of training and racing.

The new Elite Road 4550 is now available with the renowned Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These aero-bladed stainless steel spokes provide fantastic fatigue resistance under the harshest of conditions. The alloy nipples are internal, further optimising aerodynamic performance.

The new, wider aerodynamic rim profiles are hand layered up from Toray T800 carbon fibre and are incredibly light and stiff.  The 45mm deep front rim has optimal aerodynamic performance and remains stable in the worst crosswind conditions. The 50mm deep rear rim has a 2.5mm offset to ensure balanced spoke tensions on either side of the wheel.

Light and aerodynamic these wheels are incredibly fast over all terrains.
